Rudolf Ohnesorge


OhnesorgeRole: Investment Partner

Rudolf Ohnesorge advises Ambienta in scouting and developing investment opportunities in German speaking and Scandinavian countries, since March 2012. 
 
Between 2008 and 2012, he was Managing Partner of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), within SFS's €800 million private equity group. He successfully established a Growth Capital program investing into small and mid-sized industrial companies primarily in Europe and the US. He spent most of his time in the environmental sector given Siemens' priorities as the world's largest environmental products company.
 
Between 2003 and 2008, Rudolf had been part of the management of a €500 million division at Infineon Technologies AG, where he had established their ‘Identification' business unit reaching more than €150 million in annual revenue and high profitability. Prior to that, Rudolf had been a founding team member and Managing Director of Infineon's investment arm, investing into high growth businesses in the US and Israel, such as Formfactor (NASDAQ: FORM), Saifun (acquired by Spansion), LightLogic (acquired by Intel) and Broadbus (acquired by Motorola).
 
During his career, he held numerous board and board observer roles. He currently serves on the board of publicly listed Realtime Technology AG (R1T). 
 
Rudolf received a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe and a Master's in Strategic Management from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris. He also studied economics at the University of Oxford.
