Enrique de Leyva

Private equity

In 2006, Mr. de Leyva co-founded Magnum Capital Industrial Partners, the largest private equity firm focused on buyout investments in Spain and Portugal.

Prior to that Enrique worked for McKinsey & Co. for over 20 years, in Spain, Lisbon, New York and London. Enrique was Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Spanish office. During his McKinsey tenure, he created from inception, McKinsey’s European electric power and natural gas practice. He was also co-Chairman of McKinsey’s worldwide partner election committee (1998-2002), and was one of the key members of the worldwide director election committee (2003-2006).

Previously, Enrique worked at Union Fenosa (1982-1984), a Spanish energy company, in financial planning and in regulatory affairs.

Mr. de Leyva is currently chairman of Nace (International Schools), and board member of Indra (IT & Defense), Iberwind (wind energy), Bio Oils Energy (biodiesel), Iberchem (Flavours & Fragrances), Orliman (orthopedic supplies), Eptisa (civil engineering), Vendap (machinery rentals) and Credit Andorrà (private banking).
