Nino is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ambienta.
Earlier in his career, Nino was a consultant at McKinsey & Co where he established the environmental practice. In 1997, Nino founded Cam Tecnologie to develop clean technologies and products. From 2002 to 2007, Nino worked within the Telecom Italia group, first as CEO of Finsiel, and subsequently as General Manager of Olivetti.
Nino is a Board Member of AIFI and part of the Mid-Market Council within the EVCA.
Nino holds a degree (cum laude) in Business Administration from Luiss University, Rome, and an MBA from INSEAD.

Rolando is a Co-founder & Advisor of Ambienta.
Prior to co-founding Ambienta, Rolando worked for McKinsey & Co for 28 years (1969-1997). During this time he managed the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese practices and also worked in the Paris, Toronto and Geneva offices. He served for two years on the Principals’ committee and for eight years on the Directors’ committee. He served over 100 clients in a variety of industries, including utilities and energy.
Since 1997, he has been active as an investor in the energy, food and digital sector. In 1997, he acquired the majority of Venchi, a chocolate company, of which he was Chairman for 10 years increasing the company’s value 23 times. He was co-founder and the first Chairman of Atmos (2005-2006), a renewable energy investment club. He is also the founder and Chairman of IG Partners, a consulting/M&A boutique focused on cleantech, renewable energy and climate change mitigation (2004).
Rolando has a degree in Economics from Bocconi University (Milan) and a PhD in Business and Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton).
Mauro is a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer at Ambienta and is based in Milan. He is among the promoters of Ambienta, the largest private equity European fund investing in sustainability.
At Ambienta he has been involved in a number of transactions including Lakesight Technologies, IPC, Aromata Group, Pibiplast, Tower Light, Envirogen, AICO and Restiani.
Prior to this, Mauro spent seven years in SG Capital Europe, a pan-European mid market buyout fund and five years at Groupe Zodiac.
Mauro holds a degree in Business Administration from Verona University and an MBA from SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Stefano Bacci is a Partner and Ambienta’s ESG Manager, and is based in London. He joined Ambienta in 2012 and has been involved in a number of transactions including Tower Light, Calucem, Oskar Nolte and IP Cleaning.
Prior to joining Ambienta, he was a Partner at Palamon Capital Partners (London) for nine years and spent eight years at the Boston Consulting Group (Milan, Stockholm, Helsinki), focusing on European industrial companies. He started his career at BASF in Basle, first in the R&D division and eventually in the stabilisation of recycled plastics.
Stefano graduated from Politecnico University of Milan with a degree in Chemical Engineering and holds an MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and MIT in Boston. He also completed Postgraduate studies in Physical Chemistry at the Technische Universität Darmstadt.

Nico Helling is a Partner and is based in Düsseldorf. He joined Ambienta at the beginning of 2015 and has been involved in a number of transactions including Oskar Nolte and SF-Filter.
Prior to joining Ambienta, Nico spent a year with Vorndran Mannheims Capital, 10 years at Montagu Private Equity, three years with UBS Capital and five years at Ernst & Young.
In 1994, Nico graduated with a degree in Business Administration at the University of Bielefeld.

Giancarlo is a Partner and is based in Milan. He joined Ambienta in 2010.
He has been involved in a number of transactions including Lakesight, FoundOcean and SPIG.
Prior to this, Giancarlo spent three years with the mid-market private equity firm Rhône Capital in London and two years in the Milan office of Bain & Company. Prior to Bain & Company, Giancarlo worked for Siemens in Rome.
Giancarlo graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Illinois at Chicago and in Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Giancarlo received an MBA with distinction from INSEAD.

Francesco is a Partner and is based in Milan. He joined Ambienta in 2011.
He has been involved in a number of transactions including IP Cleaning, Calucem, Safim, Tower Light and MBA Polymers.
Prior to this, Francesco spent three years with Barclays PE (now Equistone), a mid-market private equity firm, and four years in London at Goldman Sachs (M&A) and Monitor Group (consulting).
He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University (Milan) in 2003, attending part of the programme at Ivey Business School in Toronto.

Fabio is Ambienta’s Strategy & Knowledge Manager and is based in Milan. He joined Ambienta in 2011.
Prior to this, he was a management consultant with Value Partners where he developed experience on a wide range of sectors and industries including industrial goods, automotive and energy. Prior to Value Partners, he worked at MBS Consulting and CRS Global Innovations.
He has a BSc and a MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and has an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau and Singapore).

Daniele is the Chief Financial Officer of Ambienta and is based in Milan. He joined Ambienta in 2012.
Prior to this, he spent seven years with Ernst & Young in the Corporate Finance and Transaction Services division and one year with H3G as an analyst.
He holds a BSc in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Bocconi University (Milan).

Nevena is responsible for Investor Relations and is based in the firm’s Milan office.
Prior to joining Ambienta in 2018, Nevena headed the fund of funds and co-investment activities of Green Arrow Capital. Previously, she was with DeA Capital Alternative Funds in Milan, focusing on primary and secondary investments in a wide range of private equity funds globally. Prior to that, Nevena was an Investment Associate with Coller Capital in London, where she worked on all aspects of the secondary transaction process. Prior to Coller Capital, Nevena worked in the Private Equity Advisory Group at Campbell Lutyens in London and in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Nevena holds an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
