- The firm’s environmental focus continues to attract high calibre talent, strengthening its investment capabilities and presence across Europe.
Milan/London/Paris/Munich/Stockholm, 8 October 2026 - Ambienta SGR S.p.A. ("Ambienta"), one of Europe’s largest asset managers exclusively focused on environmental sustainability, is pleased to announce 23 new appointments over the past year, reflecting the evolution of its coverage model to support the continued growth of its platform. Now with more than 120 employees, Ambienta has added sector expertise, scaled its portfolio operations function and deepened local coverage in each of its core European markets, enhancing its ability to source and execute investments and to support its portfolio companies on the ground. Senior hires have been central to this expansion, led by three new Partners in Milan and London.
Reflecting the growing role of value creation in Ambienta's model, Jérôme Losson joined as Partner and Head of Portfolio Operations, based in Milan, to lead the firm's portfolio operations platform across all strategies. Jérôme brings more than 30 years of experience across consulting, direct management and private equity, with deep expertise in value creation, operational transformation and digital initiatives, including artificial intelligence enablement and cybersecurity. Notably, he was instrumental in establishing KKR Capstone in Europe – one of the pioneering portfolio operations platforms in the private equity industry – as a member of its leadership team for close to a decade. At Ambienta, he will work closely with investment teams and management to enhance performance, accelerate growth initiatives and further embed operational best practices. He will also lead Ambienta's own digitalisation journey, driving the next phase of the firm's technology and AI enablement as it enters its third decade.
Supporting this digital transformation, Dina Dede joined Ambienta as Director of AI & Data within the Portfolio Operations team, based in London. She joins from Microsoft, where she most recently led AI initiatives within the Microsoft-LSEG strategic partnership, and will work alongside Jérôme to embed AI and data capabilities across the portfolio and within the firm itself.
To broaden sector coverage in the UK and across Europe, the London Private Equity team added two new Partners with complementary expertise in industrials and digital technologies. Karthik Achar joined as Partner from Stellex Capital Management, where he was a founding partner and established the firm's European office in 2014. He brings more than two decades of industrial investing experience, including Officine Maccaferri, David Brown Santasalo and the carve-out of Dürr Clean Technology Systems.
Richa Sirohi joined as Partner from CPP Investments, where she was a Managing Director leading European technology investments including Octopus Energy, team.blue, Visma and Regnology. She will lead Ambienta’s digital technologies investing across the European mid-market, at the intersection of technology and sustainability.
In parallel, Investor Relations was expanded to support a growing and increasingly global investor base, with Adam Aziz joining in London as Principal and Head of Project Management and Investor Servicing. Adam joined from UBS, where he was most recently Global Head of Capability Specialists for its Real Estate & Private Markets platform.
Across the wider investment team, dedicated coverage was built out for each private equity strategy. Alessandro Ancora joined as Principal for the mid cap strategy in Milan from White Bridge Investments, while Romain Azoulai joined as Principal for the small cap strategy in Paris after nine years at Carlyle. They are supported by Andrea Valdesalici, who joined the Milan office as Investment Manager from Bregal, and by Associates Johannes Grimm in Munich and Riccardo Abate in Paris.
The Sustainability & Strategy function welcomed Giuseppe Ruggiero as Associate, while Alessandro Sbrizzai and Elettra Pogliaghi were appointed Analysts in the ESG team after completing internships at Ambienta, highlighting the firm's commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent.
Corporate functions grew in step with the firm. Sébastien Couppey was appointed IT Director, based in Milan, bringing over 25 years of international experience in IT, while Francesca Bua and Giorgia Burgarella joined the HR function as HRBP Managers from Citibank and PwC respectively.
Together, these appointments reflect a team structure built around Ambienta’s strategy, combining senior leadership to drive new capabilities with dedicated teams for each strategy and deeper local coverage in every market, and position the platform for its next phase of growth. They also underscore the firm’s ability to attract top international talent in an increasingly competitive market. In parallel, Ambienta continues to invest in its people, with a structured set of initiatives supporting onboarding, integration and professional development across teams and offices.
Nino Tronchetti Provera, Founder and Managing Partner at Ambienta, commented: “Ambienta’s growth is powered by people who share our conviction that sustainability drives value. Every appointment has been guided by our strategy to enhance the coverage, sector expertise and operational capabilities our platform needs for its next stage of growth. The calibre of professionals joining us over the past twelve months, from Milan to Stockholm, reflects both the strength of our platform and the scale of the opportunity ahead. I’m proud to welcome this new cohort of colleagues who will help shape Ambienta’s next chapter.”
Michela D’Isita, Head of HR at Ambienta, added: “We continue to attract professionals who combine outstanding technical skills with a genuine commitment to sustainability and long-term perspective. These most recent appointments broaden our capabilities across all our offices and strategies, and I’m delighted to welcome our new colleagues at such an exciting juncture in our journey.”
