- This marks the third add-on completed by the platform in quick succession.
Milan/London/Paris/Munich/Stockholm, 27 May 2026 - Ambienta SGR S.p.A. ("Ambienta"),Ambienta SGR S.p.A. ("Ambienta"), one of Europe’s largest asset managers exclusively focused on environmental sustainability, is pleased to announce that its platform company No Dig Alliance (“NDA”, the ”Group”), a sustainability leader in trenchless technology water infrastructure, has acquired JS Drilling Solutions AB (“JS Drilling Solutions”), a Swedish specialist in underground pipe installation through trenchless technologies. The transaction represents a further step in NDA’s strategic expansion in Sweden and strengthens the Group’s capabilities in delivering low-emission, low-impact water infrastructure solutions. JS Drilling Solutions will become part of NDA’s Riggtech business.
Located in Sundsvall, JS Drilling Solutions is a trusted specialist in trenchless underground pipe installation using horizontal directional drilling. Working with public authorities and infrastructure contractors across Sweden, the company contributes to the development and maintenance of essential underground utility networks, supporting reliable and sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure nationwide.
NDA, which Ambienta acquired in 2025, is a leading Nordic platform in underground water infrastructure services now totalling nearly 300 employees. Through a disciplined buy-and-build strategy, the platform continues to consolidate a historically fragmented market, expanding its technological capabilities while delivering measurable positive environmental impact, particularly through reductions in water leakage, energy loss, and disruptive excavation. The addition of JS Drilling Solutions further enhances NDA’s service offering and supports the continued transition towards lower-emission, trenchless solutions.
Across Europe, the need to modernise ageing water infrastructure is becoming increasingly urgent as utilities face growing climate-related pressures. Even in the relatively efficient Nordic region, leakage still accounts for 18% to 30% of total water supply, highlighting both the scale of inefficiency and the opportunity for improvement. With the addition of JS Drilling Solutions, Ambienta further strengthens a platform addressing these challenges through trenchless technologies, extended infrastructure lifecycles, and meaningful reductions in resource consumption, emissions, and operational disruption.
Milena Torciano, Partner at Ambienta, commented: “JS Drilling Solutions is a highly complementary addition to NDA and further strengthens our position in the Nordic market. With its strong technical expertise and established presence in Sweden, the company enhances our capabilities within trenchless technologies and supports our sustainability-focused strategy through the delivery of low-emission, low-impact water infrastructure solutions. We are pleased to welcome the JS Drilling Solutions team to the NDA platform.”
Mattias Höglund, CEO at NDA, added: “The acquisition of JS Drilling Solutions brings deep technical expertise and strong regional market knowledge, further reinforcing our position in Sweden and strengthening our long-standing customer relationships. Together, we are well positioned to broaden our capabilities and accelerate the delivery of sustainable, low-impact water infrastructure solutions across the Nordic region.”
Christian Leijon, CEO at JS Drilling Solutions, added: “Joining forces with NDA marks an important milestone for JS Drilling Solutions. NDA’s expertise and strategic vision are fully aligned with our own ambitions, creating a strong foundation for continued growth and strengthening our ability to deliver sustainable, low-impact water infrastructure solutions.”
