Founded in 1994 and headquartered in San Pietro Mussolino (Vicenza, Italy), The Bridge is a specialised developer and producer of plant-based dairy alternatives. As one of the earliest entrants in the sector, the company has built a broad product range anchored in high quality ingredients, clean label recipes, and continuous innovation, also enabled by its fully integrated in-house production capabilities. The Bridge distributes its products internationally, with approximately 80% of its revenues outside Italy, marketing its products both under its own brand and through private label partnerships.
The investment aligns closely with Ambienta’s sustainable investing approach, as food production is one of the most critical areas in the transition to a more sustainable economy, with plant-based alternatives playing a key role in reducing the environmental footprint of the agrifood value chain.

The agrifood sector accounts for approximately 30% of global GHG emissions, with around 60% of these emissions linked to animal-based food production, including feed crops, livestock, and land use. Dairy milk, in particular, has a substantially higher environmental footprint per litre than plant-based alternatives: generating around 3 times more emissions, requiring up to 13 times more water, and using around 10 times more land.
By substituting traditional dairy products with plant-based alternatives, The Bridge delivers measurable impact in CO₂ emissions reduced, land saved and water saved.
