Wateralia
Overview
Wateralia is an industrial platform focused on manufacturing water pumps and providing solutions across the integrated water cycle, aiming to consolidate the sector through a targeted buy-and-build strategy.
Ambienta first invested in 2021 with the acquisition of Caprari, a leading producer of medium-to-high power pumps for agriculture, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. In 2022, Wateralia acquired Calpeda, specialising in low-to-medium power pumps for commercial buildings and industrial applications, complementing Caprari’s portfolio.
Caprari is well-positioned in a resilient, sustainability-driven market.
The company was transformed from an entrepreneurial venture into a managerial organisation capable of driving organic growth and operational excellence. Subsequent strategic add-ons included two historic distributors to strengthen the distribution network and, in 2025, Aquatec in Australia, a leading water and wastewater design and construction provider.
In December 2024, the company was transferred from Ambienta III to Ambienta IV and Ambienta Water Pumps, with the goal of scaling Wateralia into a global leader through organic growth, operational excellence, and further M&A.
